Review: IconXP is a full-featured software that allows you to create and design icons for your files. It is aimed at users of all skill levels. During installation, you can create a new icon by specifying size, color mode, transaction mode (cut, dither, grayscale) and other assets (eg smooth resampling). These options can be saved as the default for future projects. So you can use any standard drawing tools, such as color picker, eraser, pencil, brush, bucket, line, rectangle and ellipse, filled with colors. It is possible to undo or redo logs. Besides, you can adjust the image transparency, lock alpha channel or channel RGB / palette, paint over the original image, change the canvas size, reproduced, and apply different filters (eg negative, flip, rotate, add shadow, smooth). Another feature of IconXP let you zoom in and out of the icon (or automatic zooming), make a record with the ICO, ICNS and PNG RSRC, edit Windows icons, disable confirmation when you delete pictures from the icon, and select Clipboard to-paste method would, (by choice, a metafile or bitmap), just to name a few. The feature-rich program requires a very small amount of system resources, so it does not affect computer performance. It has a good response to keystrokes and mouse events, supports hotkeys and includes user documentation. We have not come across any problems with our test IconXP not hang, crash or pop up error message. To sum it up, should IconXP please all users who want to create and design icons, regardless of their experience level.
